Such a high incidence means that there is a large market for medications and supplements targeted toward constipation, and that the number of players in the market that supply these treatment agents is correspondingly large.

For example, psyllium husks from the Plantago shrub are high in fiber and used in supplements. They are often found in powdered form so as to be mixed with water to make a drinkable source of fiber.

By and large, herbal supplements are synonymous with senna, which are rich in sennosides, a class of compounds that stimulates the intestine. The constipation treatment market used to be much more crowded with other herbal supplements like aloe and cascara, but the FDA has since then cracked down on new entrants to the field because of safety concerns. Some manufacturers still produce aloe-based herbal supplements in concordance with the law.

By far the most active segment of the constipation treatment market is the over-the-counter (OTC) and prescription medication category. 4. Leaving large gaps of time between meals. How much is large? More than five hours. Once you go past five hours, expect a significant decrease in metabolism. Not good for maximum arm toning. Curdling Cure: if your mayonnaise has curdled there is one sure fire way to bring it back to life. stir in a couple of tablespoons of Hellmann\’s mayonnaise and your problem will be over.

Simply Scrumptious Topping: a really, quick, delicious and almost infinitely variable topping for a savory pie can be made in seconds.
