A lot of what you may be doing while losing weight could be weakening your bones. And building strong bones doesn\’t happen overnight. Even worse, weak bones can lead to one of the most misdiagnosed injuries: hair fractures.
Now the main problem here, however, is that a lot of what you may be doing on a day to day basis could be decreasing the health of your bones. And weak and unhealthy bones will set you up for a sure fire injury.
So here is how to make your bones stronger:
1. Don\’t neglect the weights: Not only will lifting weights rev up your metabolism, but it will also make your bones super strong. And super strong bones are less likely to fracture or break. And don\’t be overwhelmed by all the different exercise techniques out there, just do something!
2. Stretch: Stretching won\’t have a direct effect on your bone health. However, it is a great way to prevent future injury. You see, many bone injuries are a direct result of inflexibility. So making your muscle and connective tissue more flexible is a great way to prevent bone injuries.
3. Train for balance: Again, increasing your balancing capabilities won\’t directly affect bone health, but it will prevent injury. You see, many fractures and breakages are a direct result of poor falling technique. If you incorporate some balance training into your routine, you can prevent a lot of this.
4. Load up on calcium: But make sure it\’s from the right sources. Because if you take calcium from the wrong sources, you could end up with way too much lead in your body. I recommend taking supplements from reputable brands ONLY. And also make sure to eat lots of leafy greens.
5. Be wary of high protein intakes: Eating lots of protein causes excess calcium to be secreted from urine. Having said that, certain metabolic types do very well with high protein intakes. So if you absolutely have to go on a high protein diet to lose weight, supplement with lots of calcium.
Increasing your bone strength is a great way to ensure a high quality of life over the long run. You see, most people with fractures aren\’t even aware of it! So make sure you follow these tips today, don\’t wait until tomorrow!
